Job Purpose:
The primary responsibilities of this post are to provide leadership and development of strategic approaches for the integration of technology into the curriculum, as well as provide information on current best practices, innovations, and emerging trends. This professional will have awareness of best practices, emerging technologies and new potentials in educational technology while supporting users in a multi-platform environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- To support teachers in Primary School in integrating the use of technology in the class to enhance learning.
- To advise on when technology might be an effective addition to a lesson and to share good practice.
- Teach the agreed upon load.
- Provide professional development and instructional support to all teachers.
- Provides hands on support to teachers during lessons.
- Collaborate with appropriate teaching and technical staff to support, manage, and optimize the use of learning software and network resources to support quality teaching and learning
- Assists in the planning, development and implementation of any curriculum and technology integration projects.
- Identify new and emerging educational technologies to support student and faculty learning, growth, and development.
- Create learning resources for teachers. These may include websites, webinars, tutorials, interactive programmes, and databases that support teachers in integrating technology (Develop guides and other support materials as appropriate for parents and teachers for use during distance learning and face to face).
- Work with Pedagogical Leadership Team to plan, develop and implement technology enhanced curriculum integration projects.
- Prepare an end-of-year report and scope and sequence of technology integration in the Primary School and effectiveness of databases used.
- Undertake such other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Primary School within the terms of contract and Conditions of Service.
- Actively engage in new educational technology development activities, including conferences and workshops.
- Work with students during co-curricular activities to support educational technology outside of the classroom.
- Lead in the design and implementation of active learning spaces (Maker Space) by coordinating with media center specialists.
- Support with acquiring and use of any teaching technology specialized equipment/ kits.

- Bilingual (English & Arabic)
- Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curricula to engage children and enable them to perform highly using technology
- Wide experience of working with technology
- Ability to lead training session for students, teachers & parents
- Programming skills & experience with relevant emerging technologies fields including robotics, AI, VRAR, 3d printing and coding
