We are currently looking for an ATM Systems Senior Engineer to join our team in Dubai, whereby they will be supporting in the delivery of ATM Systems technical expertise by providing efficient and effective support to the ATC and ATE operations.
An ideal candidate should be an adaptable and innovative professional who communicate effectively, collaborate resourcefully, and build strong, trusted relationships with customers and colleagues. The role will be based across various airports such as Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai, as well as Sharjah International Airport in Sharjah.
This opportunity is with our partner Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans) who provides air navigation services at four airports in the UAE, one of which is the world's busiest airport for international passengers, where their mission is to empower and develop all their people in delivering world-leading air navigation services that exceed every standard, assure their customers, and shape global innovation.
This role will be reporting to ATM Systems Engineering Team Leader.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all CNS Manuals, processes, procedures and applicable Local, National, or international regulations, standards, and recommended practices.
- Provide guidance, support, and recommendations to the Head of ATM Systems in all Engineering aspects of adaptation of all current and future dans ATM systems, advising on future Engineering technological and resourcing needs for adaptation and participate in the process for adaptation change control.
- Provide supervisory and people management support to ATSEPs with their system responsibility.
- Ensure that all equipment within his scope is operating correctly and inform line managers of any anomalies.
- Compliance with PPM processes assuring L1 and L2 tasks are carried out with an in-date competence
- Corrective Maintenance processes are carried out with an in-date competence
- Produces all items necessary within the system manager framework:
- Assures system performance and changes in alignment with the Asset Management Plan
- Formulates and applies system changes in alignment with the CNS Asset lifecycles
- Complies with inventory management processes to support the business continuity
- Supports delivery of projects lifecycles relating to area of responsibility
- Driving continuous improvement of ATMS service delivery through use of new and emerging technology
Your Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited university in Systems Engineering, Air Traffic Management Systems, Electronics, Communications or Computer Science Engineering or equivalent CNS/ATM focused Higher Diploma
- At least 6 years’ experience in Level 2 maintenance in a CNS/ATM engineering environment.
- Managerial experience.
- Relevant certificates of competency on ATM systems or equipment that meet international or national regulatory standards. All Level 2 competencies should be current.
- Hold an OJTI qualification or be prepared to gain this qualification.
- In depth knowledge of National Regulations, ICAO standards and recommended practices, ATC and other customer procedures and CNS safety objectives.
- Technical knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Radar, ATM and other Airport Systems
