Job Summary
The handover engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing the handover process of projects from the construction phase to the client, operations team, or facility management. This role ensures that all technical documentation, certifications, and operational requirements are completed accurately and on time, facilitating a seamless transition and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and reviews to verify that all project elements meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and rectify any deficiencies or non-conformities before the handover.
- Follow up with the Projects Department to ensure all project elements are completed on
- time.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate a smooth handover process.
- Organize and conduct handover meetings and presentations to ensure all parties are informed and aligned.
- Coordinate and manage the handover process of completed projects to the client or end-user.
- Act as a liaison between the CRM and Projects Departments to facilitate
- communication and resolve any handover issues.
- Ensure all project deliverables and documentation are completed and in compliance with client requirements.
- Prepare and compile handover documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and warranties.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and meets the standards set by the client and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain records of all handover activities and provide regular status reports to the handover supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in engineering or project management.
- Proven experience in managing project handovers in a technical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the real estate sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in technical documentation and reporting.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are an advantage.
