Role Summary:

The IT Helpdesk Engineer will be the first point of contact for end-user support and technical assistance. The role requires diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues, managing user access, supporting enterprise applications, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to user queries via email, phone, or in person, and provide timely technical support.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop/laptop hardware, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Provide support for operating systems (Windows/macOS) and company-approved software applications.
  • Manage user accounts, email access, and file sharing permissions (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
  • Monitor and support IT infrastructure, including networks, internet, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
  • Maintain asset inventory records and assist in onboarding/offboarding IT tasks.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level engineers or vendors where necessary.
  • Document issues, solutions, and updates in the ticketing system.
  • Assist in implementing IT policies and security measures (e.g., endpoint protection, updates).
  • Support remote users and troubleshoot connectivity issues using remote support tools.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
  • Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking fundamentals,meeting room support and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Admin Console, cybersecurity , remote desktop software, and MDM.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Google Professional Workspace Administrator Professional Certificate 
  • Experience with ticketing tools (e.g.,Freshservice, Zendesk, ).
  • Knowledge of basic cybersecurity and endpoint management.
