Job Summary:


Responsible for managing all logistics and distribution operations of finished products for UPM and MSPI within the MEA region. This includes ensuring the efficient, timely, and compliant movement and delivery of products to customers and affiliates at optimal cost. The role focuses on end-to-end logistics execution — from shipment planning, transportation, and distribution performance monitoring — while maintaining compliance with GDP and company quality standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement policies, procedures and strategies for logistics activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Follow up on the implementation of logistics standard performance standards.

- Directing and controlling the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of movement and storage of finished products.

- Allocate and manage employees and resources according to changing needs and according to sales orders and delivery dates.

- Develop distribution transportation plans according to sales orders and related priorities and select and determine optimal transportation modes, routes, equipment, and frequency.

- Solve shipping problems related to transportation and logistics systems, or customer issues

- Negotiating transportation rates or services and ensuring carriers comply with company policies or procedures for product delivery.

- Analyze all aspects of logistics to determine the most cost-effective freight transportation products

- Monitoring the performance of shipping and clearing companies and working to classify and approve them, in addition to strengthening relationships with local and foreign shipping and clearing companies.

- Analyze data to monitor the performance of logistics operations, identify areas of concern, plan improvements, and mitigate and reduce obstacles.

- Building strong relationships with shipping companies and government entities to achieve maximum efficiency in logistics operations.

- Dealing with all payment terms for final sales transactions, such as credits and collection policies.

- Preparing periodic reports related to the department’s activities and achievements and sending them to the direct manager.

- Recommending appropriate training courses according to the process of identifying training needs, evaluating their effectiveness, and following up on their results and their impact on employee performance.

- Supervising the human resources planning process by the budgets and plans established.

- Conduct the performance evaluation process for subordinates and manage the process of ensuring the achievement of recommended objectives.

- Follow up on subordinates’ administrative affairs, such as vacations, departures, etc.

- Customer Focus: Develops a deep understanding of commercial needs, commercial targets and service expectations. Designs logistics and distribution processes that ensure reliability, transparency, and customer satisfaction across the MEA region.

- Digital Transformation: Embraces digital tools and technologies to enhance logistics visibility, automation, and process efficiency. Promotes the use of digital dashboards, system integration, and electronic data management to support informed and agile decision-making.

- Analytical Thinking: Uses data analytics, performance metrics, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to assess logistics performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions for improvement and cost optimization.

- Logistics and Distribution Expertise: Demonstrates strong knowledge of transportation management, international trade regulations, and GDP compliance. Applies best practices in carrier management, route optimization, and shipment planning to ensure efficient and compliant product flow.

Process and Continuous Improvement: Identifies and implements logistics optimization initiatives, including cost reduction, process simplification, outsourcing services and digital transformation. Regularly evaluates logistics performance and drives corrective & preventive actions for improvement.


Job Requirements:


- Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field.

- Minimum eight years of experience in a related field, including at least three years in a supervisory position.

- Proficiency in written, reading, and spoken Arabic and English languages.
