Job Summary: The Augmented Reality Engineer designs, develops, and supports advanced Digital solutions using 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies. This role involves working with AR SDKs, 3D graphics, computer vision, and user interaction to create interactive digital content overlaid onto the real world within government entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and support advanced Digital solutions using 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies.
- Design, develop, and implement AR applications for various platforms (e.g., mobile, headsets).
- Work with AR SDKs and frameworks (e.g., ARKit, ARCore, Unity AR Foundation, Vuforia).
- Develop 3D models, textures, and animations for AR environments.
- Implement computer vision techniques for object recognition, tracking, and spatial mapping.
- Design intuitive user interfaces and interactions for AR experiences.
- Optimize AR applications for performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other engineers to bring AR concepts to life.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AR/VR technologies.
- Accelerate execution of digital transformation projects at government entities.
- Support in implementing digital transformation initiatives at various government agencies in alignment to the Nation's strategic goals.
- Conduct workshops and reviews to ensure alignment of each initiative with the respective owners and stakeholders.
- Influence and encourage government agencies to adopt changes in approaches and processes to ensure alignment with other National Initiatives such as Digital Transformation Programs, Digital Economy strategy, National AI Program etc.
- Provide advice to senior management in support of strategic decisions relating to digital transformation.
- Propose a specific approach to knowledge transfer of the government agency staff within the engagement period.
- Support government agencies understand their annual Digital Transformation targets.
- Increase government agencies' awareness of the availability of information, tools and resources provided by other stakeholders in the transition process.
- Help government agencies measure and report on their progress.
- Help government agencies improve their performance in the digital transformation roadmap.
- Make relevant recommendations for government agencies to improve their performance.
- Work with staff to identify potential areas of improvement in Digital government transformation and digital Services.
- Work with staff to promote central/shared services.
- Work with respective Government agencies’ Project Managers to deliver integrated solutions and services.
- Report on work performed at government agencies on an agreed, periodic basis.
- Physically meet and engage the government agencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant specialization of the service required.
- Master’s degree in similar business-related subject is preferred.
- Language: Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required). Arabic - Native (desirable).
Background and Experience (Specific to PS):
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in common area of information and communications technology in a large entity.
- 1+ years of relevant working experience in the role to be performed.
General Experience (Common to ALL):
- Knowledge of project management, practices and methodologies.
- Professionally certified in the technical area of the role performed.
- Experience and knowledge of digital trends.
- Preferred Certifications: Agile Delivery (e.g., PMI-ACP, PSM).
