Job Title: Inventory Officer

Department: Supply Chain / Warehouse

Reports to: Inventory Manager / Operations Manager


Job Purpose


The Inventory Officer is responsible for monitoring and managing stock levels, ensuring accuracy of records, and maintaining proper documentation of all inventory transactions. The role ensures smooth flow of goods, minimizes stock variances, and supports operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities


Maintain accurate records of inventory by conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations.


Monitor and track stock movements (inbound, outbound, transfers, returns).


Ensure timely updating of inventory management systems (ERP/WMS).


Prepare reports on stock levels, shortages, and discrepancies.


Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams regarding stock requirements.


Investigate stock variances and take corrective actions.


Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of items.


Monitor expiry dates and damaged goods to prevent losses.


Support in forecasting and planning inventory requirements.


Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.


Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.


Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management.


Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP software.


Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


Good communication and coordination abilities.


Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
