Role Overview :

The Senior Motion Designer & Video Editor is responsible for producing high-impact motion

content and polished video outputs across ULA’s marketing, educational, and product platforms.

This role owns motion execution quality, visual storytelling, pacing, and clarity — translating

scripts, concepts, and learning objectives into engaging motion-first content.

The role is hands-on, senior, and execution-driven, with responsibility for guiding motion quality,

mentoring mid-level motion designers, and actively using AI tools to enhance speed and

consistency.

This role does not own 3D rig creation, but must confidently animate, edit, and integrate 3D

renders and character outputs into final videos.

Nature of Motion Work (Critical Clarification)

Key Responsibilities:

Motion Design & Storytelling

● Design and animate high-quality motion graphics from scratch.

● Translate scripts and educational content into clear visual motion.

● Apply animation principles (timing, easing, hierarchy, rhythm).

● Create motion systems that are reusable and brand-consistent.

Video Editing & Finalization

● Edit short-form and long-form video content for:

○ Social media (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)

○ Educational explainers

○ Product and app videos

● Ensure perfect pacing, transitions, and emotional flow.

● Sync audio, music, voiceovers, and subtitles accurately.

Platform & Format Optimization

● Deliver optimized outputs for:

○ Vertical, square, and horizontal formats

○ Paid ads and organic content

● Ensure readability and clarity on mobile screens.

● Adapt one core video into multiple platform-ready versions.

AI-Driven Workflow

● Use AI tools for:

○ Motion ideation and references

○ Subtitle generation and cleanup

○ Video enhancement and speed optimization

● Continuously explore new AI tools to improve production efficiency.

Collaboration & Guidance

● Work closely with:

○ Senior 3D Motion Animator (Production Lead)

○ 3D Designers

○ Content and Marketing teams

● Guide mid-level motion designers on quality and execution.

● Apply and implement feedback quickly and accurately.

Technical Skills & Tools (Mandatory):

Motion & Video (Advanced)

● Adobe After Effects (advanced – required)

● Adobe Premiere Pro (advanced – required)

● Strong experience with:

○ Motion typography

○ Transitions & compositing

○ Animation curves & graph editor

○ Masking and effects

● Audio syncing and basic sound design

Qualifications

● 5+ years of professional experience in:

○ Motion design

○ Video editing

● Proven senior-level portfolio demonstrating:

○ Motion-first thinking

○ Clear storytelling

○ Platform-optimized outputs

● Experience working with fast-paced content teams
