Job Description

Junior Quality Control Engineers work collaboratively with other groups and individuals to test software. They report and track bugs within software, and they help fixing them. This position is typically offered full time and reports to senior-level QA Engineers.

Other tasks include developing and running new tests, reporting on the results, and collaborating with software developers to fix software issues.

As a QC Engineer will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Also, will ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system.

Responsibilities

●     Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide test cases and meaningful feedback.

●     Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test scenarios and/or test cases.

●     Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

●     Design, develop and execute the test.

●     Perform manual test.

●   End to end management of the bugs life cycle.

●   Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product/project managers) to identify system requirements.

●   Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.

●   Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

●   Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

●   Creating training materials and operating manuals.

●   Making recommendations for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

●     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information systems technology, or software engineering, or relevant field.

●     0-2 years experience.

●     Proven working experience in software quality control is a plus.

●     Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.

●     Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

●     Knowledge of Web/Mobile technologies.

●     Strong attention of the details.

●     Strong command in English.
