Food Industries Polytechnic (FIP) is a non-profit training institution founded in 2009 under the National Center for Strategic Partnerships—a collaboration between the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and Almarai. Job Summary: The Student Affairs Counselor plays a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and engaging environment for students. This position is responsible for providing guidance, support, and resources to enhance student well-being and academic success. The counselor will collaborate with various departments to address student needs and promote a positive campus culture.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students facing academic, personal, or social challenges.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote student engagement and retention.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and academic departments to facilitate effective communication.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as stress management, time management, and career planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student interactions in accordance with confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify at-risk students and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Stay updated on campus resources and refer students to appropriate services as needed.




Required Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience in student affairs or a related field.



Preferred Qualifications: Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution; familiarity with student development theory; previous experience in higher education settings.



Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Empathy and understanding of student issues.
  • Proficiency in using counseling software and database management.




Education and Certifications: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., LPC, LCSW) preferred.
