Job Summary:


Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Department: Supply Chain & Operations

Section: Quality

Job Purpose:

Implement and maintain the quality management activities and document control processes in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, by reviewing, updating and maintain procedures and documentation for accuracy, tracking, and compliance.

Required Educational Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality management, Food Science, Industrial Engineering or any related field

Required Experience:

  • 0 - 3 Years of experience in quality management or any related field

SFDA, QMS, GDP, and ISO 9001 regulation knowledge - Intermediate

Duties & Responsibilities:

  

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards across all departments.
  • Coordinate with on-site quality inspectors to ensure consistent quality assurance practices, including raw material inspections, in-process checks, and final product testing.  
  • Ensure all quality assurance processes comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.  
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance activities, including inspection reports and testing results.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective and preventive actions.   
  • Develop and refine quality assurance procedures to increaseefficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide training and guidance to on-site quality inspectorsand production staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality training programs.
  • Ensure the destruction of obsolete documents, coordinating with related departments to confirm proper destruction and obtaining acknowledgment.
  • Organize filing of documents, both electronic and hard copies, according to established procedures and protocols.     
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct non-conformance Investigation issues and customer complaints performing root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve the quality management system.
  • Coordinate management review meetings related to the quality and other management systems and prepare minutes of meeting to communicate quality activity outcomes.  
  • Collaborate with external auditors and during the regulatory inspections.     
  • Prepare and present quality assurance reports to management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas of concern.
  • Track and analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor SFDA publications regularly to stay updated on relevant regulations, amendments, or declarations.
