Job Purpose / Main Functions:
Community Facilitator is in charge of planning, organizing, facilitating, coordinating 8 awareness campaigns during the project cycle in cooperation with partners, local actors and other stakeholdrers, ensuring the proper raising awareness and disseminarion of CP/GBV messages.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Planning and Implementation of Activities
· Participate in ToT organized by trained Tdh staff.
· Deliver awareness session related to CP to local partners and community groups.
· Design, Plan, Prepare, Organize, Facilitate, Coordinae 8 awareness campaigns.
· Provide training, guidelines for the execution of activities and dissemination of messages.
· Ensure the participation of children and youth in the activities.
· Ensure the engagement, participation and ownership of local partners, public actors and communities in the campaigns
· Mobilize resources and contribution for the implementation of activities.
· Use the existing tools but also contribute in creating new tools/ curriculums related to activities.
· Ensure constant protection monitoring.
· Identify and refer cases to Tdh’s teams.
· Contribute in communication and visibility activities.
· Contribute in capitalization of the campaigns and develop linkages and connections with other organizations who are developing similar activities.
· Evaluate the impact of activities and adjusting according to feedback and needs.
· Develop complaining and feedback mechanisms.
· Ensure that the messages and activities would be multiapplied.
· Ensure an efficient collaboration and coordination with external consultants for the activities.
· Deliver the activities on time, based on available budget and ensure the quality, evaluation, monitoring and learning practices.
Data management and reporting
· Manage, file and store data, ensuring the confidentiality of the information collected and the services provided.
· Support implementation of monitoring and evaluation exercises, when required, in order to understand project impacts and outcomes, and report challenges encountered in the implementation of the project.
· Share and, if necessary, create planning, monitoring and evaluation tools which can be adapted to different projects
· Participate in preparation of internal and external reports, as required.
- Ensure a daily proper recording of data (# of children, youth, adults participating, activities delivered, etc).
· Draw up the monthly and annual activity reports
· Provide an analysis and follow-up of the outcomes of the intervention projects with suggestions for adjustment where necessary.
Coordination and representation
· Ensure a relevant and regular follow-up including all actors of the area of intervention.
- Ensure close coordination and update with the case workers and FPSS facilitators
- Communicate efficiently with technical team and managers conveying to them ideas and new proposals according to daily observation in dealing with children.
· Communicate with the stakeholders, partners and municipalities through regular visits.
· Support timely information sharing regarding challenges and needs at the field level
Representation / Networking
· Identify positive and innovative experiences in the zones and share them with his/her peers and line managers
· In general, make sure that a positive and professional image of the Foundation is conveyed. In particular, ensure that the Foundation's mandate, ethics, values and views are followed in relation to third parties.
· Represent Tdh at strategic meetings in his/her field of intervention
· Work with the government structures and other players involved in his/her field of intervention
· Initiate and develop a relational network with the other NGOs which operate in the same field of activity
Collaboration with Management
· Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the communication contract and participate in implementing it
· Exchange information with his/her line manager on a regular basis and assist with circulating information following normal communication channels
· Participate in technical manager meetings.
Administration / logistics and recovery services
· Carry out all the administrative activities relevant to his/her mission
· Adhere to and enforce current administrative and logistical regulations and procedures.
Organisational Policies
· Respects the Tdh’s Global Code of Conduct (GCD), Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP), Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy (PSEA) and Policy on Gender and Diversity and its principles of child protection, ensuring the policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the CSP/PSEA Focal Point with any information regarding potential breachs of the policy.
· Is aware of, abides by and promotes the practices and values set out in all other Tdh policies and procedures such as the Internal Regualtions, Standard Operating Procedures and other policies.
· Report any breach observed in the framework of this policy during his/her professional activities both as regards the proven or suspected offence and a preventive breach.
Other
· Undertake all other duties that may be requested by the line-manager and that are compatible with the job.
Job requirements:
Academic Background: Bachelor Degree in relevant field (social work…). Master’s degree is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience:
· Experience in organizing community initiatives/ campaigns (at least 2 years)
· Experiene in communicating and coordinating with local partners and actors (at least 2 years).
