Executive Assistant to the CTO
Share this vacancyPosted on: Aug 19, 2025
We’re seeking a high-caliber Executive Assistant with proven software-development expertise to provide day-to-day support to our CTO. You’ll manage classic C-level administrative duties — calendar orchestration, stakeholder communications, board-level prep — and act as a technical right hand: reviewing code snippets, spinning up lightweight prototypes, wrangling dashboards, and translating product-engineering road-map details for non-technical audiences. If you thrive at the intersection of meticulous executive support and hands-on coding, this hybrid role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the CTO’s complex, ever-shifting calendar across global time zones (strategy sessions, sprint reviews, investor calls, hiring loops).
• Screen and prioritize email, Slack, and written correspondence; draft responses that reflect the CTO’s voice and intent.
• Prepare board decks, OKR updates, and investor memos; synthesize technical KPIs into crisp, executive-ready visuals.
• Coordinate domestic & international travel end-to-end (visas, agendas, briefing kits).
• Plan off-sites, hackathons, and leadership summits, partnering with People Ops & Finance on logistics and budget.
• Maintain strict confidentiality on roadmap, IP, and personnel matters.
• Jump into the codebase for quick fixes: build internal tooling, automate repetitive tasks, write scripts/tests, or triage pull requests.
• Attend stand-ups and sprint reviews; capture action items; follow up with ICs and PMs to ensure closure.
• Create and maintain lightweight prototypes or proof-of-concepts to validate new product ideas.
• Query databases/dashboards (SQL, Looker, Grafana, Amplitude, etc.) to pull metrics for executive reporting.
• Translate technical discussions into plain-English briefs for cross-functional leaders.
• Evaluate and onboard productivity/SaaS tools that boost engineering throughput and knowledge management.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive or Personal Assistant supporting VP/C-suite leaders and
- 2+ years of professional software-development experience (or equivalent open-source contributions).
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, C#).
- Solid grasp of software-development life cycle, Git workflow, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
- Mastery of EA toolset and productivity suites (Google Workspace / MS 365, Notion/Confluence, Slack, Zoom, Asana/Jira).
- Proven ability to juggle shifting priorities with a calm, solutions-first mindset.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication in English; adept at distilling complexity for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Discretion in handling sensitive information; high emotional intelligence when interacting with engineers, executives, and investors.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience in high-growth SaaS, fintech, ed-tech, or deep-tech startups.
- Familiarity with data-analysis or BI tools (SQL, Python pandas, Tableau, Power BI).
- Background in DevOps, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), or automation scripting.
- Multilingual in english and arabic.
- Prior involvement in open-source communities or technical blogging.
