Arabian Al Ekha Toys, a company within Habanakeh Group in Jordan, is a brand-oriented leader in the Jordanian toy market. The company manages and develops a diversified portfolio that includes LEGO, leading international toy brands, selected non-brand ranges, and complementary categories such as stationery and toy related products. Its commercial direction is built around strong channel ownership, disciplined execution, long term brand building, and sustainable growth across the Jordanian market.
To support this direction, Arabian Al Ekha is seeking a highly driven, results-oriented, and commercially focused General Trade (GT) Unit Head to lead, develop, and accelerate the growth of its General Trade channel across Jordan. The role is channel-owned, not brand-owned; the successful candidate will be responsible for selling and developing the company’s approved portfolio through the right general trade customers and territories, regardless of whether the offering is LEGO, toy brands, non-brand products, stationery, or toy-related categories.
The successful candidate will personally handle key customers and high-value commercial opportunities while leading a lean team to manage smaller accounts and daily execution. Success will be measured by the ability to open new customers and territories, expand profitable market coverage, activate B2B adoption, strengthen customer relationships, and build a disciplined GT operation that supports sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the General Trade channel across Jordan.
• Identify, open, and develop new customers, territories, and distribution opportunities.
• Personally manage strategic accounts and high-value commercial opportunities.
• Drive strategic selling activities and key negotiations.
• Expand market coverage and improve Route-to-Market effectiveness.
• Lead and coach the GT sales team to achieve business objectives.
• Increase customer adoption of B2B ordering solutions.
• Ensure achievement of sales, profitability, collection, and coverage targets.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in FMCG, Distribution, Retail, General Trade, or similar sectors.
• Minimum 3 years in a sales leadership role managing field sales teams.
• Strong understanding of the Jordanian market and GT channels.
• Proven track record in business development and strategic selling.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, and business reporting tools.
