About the Opportunity

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Fashion Designer located in Amman. The Junior Fashion Designer will be responsible to assist senior designers to bring creative vision to life through innovation and marketable designs. Assist in all stages of the design process, from conceptualization to final product such as digital sketching and garment construction. Contribute to the development of collections that resonate with target audience and reflect current trends.

Main Responsibilities

• Create or visualize an idea and produce a design using Adobe Illustrator.

• Demonstrate an understanding of design from a technical perspective, such as technical specifications for design.

• Support senior designer in liaising with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure items suit the customer, market and price points

• Ability to adapt existing designs for mass production.

• Understand a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments, fitting and detailing and adaptations

• Work with models to try out approved designs.

• Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes

Qualifications

• A degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design or any related field (Fashion Related Study/Certificates is a plus).

• 0 – 2 Years of Experience (Fashion Preferably)

• An understanding of design process

• Familiarity to different types of fabric and material.

• Familiarity with pattern making techniques, grading and garment construction processes.

• Understand Techpack, Bill of Material (BOM).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Up-to-date with Fashion Trends

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
