Terre des hommes - Lausanne is seeking a qualified Senior GBV Case Worker based in Beirut.
Job Purpose / Main Functions:
The Senior GBV caseworker oversees the provision of individual case management for GBV survivors, ensuring adherence to all case management steps, tools, and procedures.
They are tasked with implementing the strategy and coordinating the development and management of the GBV caseworker team. The Senior GBV Caseworker ensures that GBV case management practices adhere to Tdh’s mandate, commitments, and international standards.
The Senior GBV Caseworker maintains strong ethical standards and professionalism in their work, striving to create an environment where survivors and their families are empowered to engage in their own healing and development. The approach aims to strengthen social ties, promote community solidarity, and enhance resilience within the families and communities they serve.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Program Implementation and Quality:
• Lead the development of detailed GBV case management plans into account program priorities, budget constraints, staff capacity, and identified needs.
• Supervises the GBV case workers by assigning tasks based on priorities, providing support in the execution of activities to effectively achieve project objectives.
• Conducts monthly reviews of open cases to ensure regular supervision and proper follow-up of case management.
• Supervises and monitors the GBV CM process and ensures that cases under assistance receive all the care and support needed and that all cases are managed in line with GBV Standard Operational Procedures (SoPs) and inter-agency Guidelines adhere to standard documentation processes and follow best practice guidance.
• Manage the GBV hotline, ensuring that survivors receive timely, confidential, and survivor-centered support. This includes responding to calls, providing immediate guidance, facilitating referrals to appropriate services, and ensuring proper documentation and follow-up in line with GBV case management protocols.
• Supports GBV case management activities in South Lebanon by assisting the Senior GBV Officer with caseloads, coordination, and technical input as needed.
• Ensure Do No Harm analyses are carried out and the principle of Do No Harm is observed and upheld in all the engagements of the GBV Case Worker.
Reporting:
• Insures that case workers regularly document cases using case notes and other agreed upon forms for necessary physical files
• Review the updated databases / GBVIMS+ by case workers to ensure a comprehensive record of the case.
• Ensure adequate data collection and data storage of all activities while respecting data protection protocols and confidentiality principle.
• Provide regular reports GBV case management and overall program implementation based on the filed reports provided by case workers.
Coordination and representation:
• Directly communicate effectively with other senior caseworkers and service providers in order to advocate, collaborate and make referrals according to the best interests of children.
• In addition to the case management team, collaborate closely with other members of the Child Protection team, ensuring smooth coordination and referrals.
Organisational Policies:
• Respects the Tdh’s Global Code of Conduct (GCD), Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP), Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy (PSEA) and Policy on Gender and Diversity and its principles of child protection, ensuring the policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the CSP/PSEA Focal Point with any information regarding potential breachs of the policy.
• Is aware of, abides by and promotes the practices and values set out in all other Tdh policies and procedures such as the Internal Regualtions, Standard Operating Procedures and other policies.
• Undertake all other duties that may be requested by the line-manager and that are compatible with the job.
• Participate actively in weekly and monthly coordination meeting with the line managers.

• Support the other teams and his/her line manager

Job Requirements:
• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology or other relevant degree.
• Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of experience in GBV Case Management and psychosocial support. Previous experience in supervisory or managerial roles, overseeing a team of caseworkers.
Experience in coordinating GBV response and working within an inter-agency framework (e.g., GBVIMS, referral pathways).
Strong background in capacity building, coaching, and training caseworkers on GBV principles and case management.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, including refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and survivors of GBV.
