iOS Developer - Intern

About the Role

As an iOS Intern, you will work with experienced engineers to build, test, and improve features in our iOS application. This is a hands-on, mentorship-driven role focused on developing your skills toward writing production-ready code.

We value curiosity, problem-solving, and learning mindset more than prior experience with frameworks. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building iOS applications and eager to understand how scalable apps are built in real-world environments.

Principal Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Build UI screens and reusable components using UIKit and/or SwiftUI
• Integrate REST APIs and display data within the application
• Debug, investigate, and fix issues with support from the team
• Participate in code reviews, standups, and pair programming sessions
• Follow team coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving
• Working knowledge of Swift and Xcode
• Ability to build basic UI layouts using UIKit or SwiftUI (Auto Layout, constraints, stacks)
• Basic experience consuming REST APIs and handling JSON responses
• Foundational debugging skills using breakpoints and logging tools

Nice to Have

• Personal iOS projects, GitHub repositories, or apps (TestFlight or portfolio)
• Exposure to iOS learning resources (e.g., Stanford iOS course, Hacking with Swift) with practical application
• Basic understanding of Git and GitHub workflows
