Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical VDC Technical Office Engineer to join our global engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and coordinating HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, leveraging BIM and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) to optimize collaboration and ensure technical excellence across all project stages. This role provides the opportunity to work on diverse international projects while advancing your professional expertise in mechanical systems and BIM workflows.

Key Responsibilities

·      Develop accurate mechanical shop drawings (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting) using Revit and AutoCAD.

·      Build and manage BIM models to ensure seamless coordination across all trades.

·      Apply BIM and VDC workflows to detect clashes early, resolve conflicts, and streamline project delivery.

·      Perform quantity takeoffs and generate precise material schedules from BIM/CAD models.

·      Participate in coordination meetings, offering technical input on mechanical systems and integration.

·      Prepare as-built drawings reflecting site updates and final installations.

Qualifications

·      1–3 years of experience in mechanical drafting and BIM/CAD engineering.

·      Proficiency in Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD is essential.

·      Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

·      Above-average English communication skills for collaboration with international clients.

·      Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.

·      Ability to read and interpret construction and mechanical drawings effectively.

·      Experience in U.S.-based projects is advantageous.

Additional Qualifications

·      Familiarity with U.S. mechanical codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.).

·      Experience across multiple building types (residential, commercial, industrial, institutional).

·      Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

·      Strong understanding of BIM coordination processes and LOD standards.

·      Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers/drafters.
