Job Title: Safety Specialist
Job Purpose: The Safety Specialist is responsible
for ensuring workplace safety by monitoring compliance with safety regulations,
conducting risk assessments, and providing training. This role plays a crucial
part in preventing workplace accidents, reducing costs, and maintaining legal
and regulatory compliance.
Reports to: QA Manager
- Reduction in workplace accidents and incidents.
- Compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Increased safety awareness and adherence among employees.
Key Challenges:
- Ensuring consistent adherence to safety procedures.
- Promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.
- Managing safety risks in industrial and high-risk environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct workplace inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate and document workplace accidents and incidents.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Issue work permits and ensure contractor safety compliance.
- Conduct safety training for new hires and existing employees.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate and document any workplace incidents.
- Monitor contractor safety compliance.
Key Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
Experience:
- 6months to 1 year of experience in a safety-related role.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Effective communication skills for training and awareness programs.
