ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager, based in Madrid, Spain (with hybrid option). You will be responsible for owning electrofitting operations, material flow between our factory and Spain, and after-sales activities as Shift EV launches its products in the Spanish market. The role involves working closely with local service providers, workshops, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution from inbound materials to vehicle delivery and post-delivery support.
You will collaborate with Shift EV’s global manufacturing, technology, and after-sales teams, support local trials and pilots, and report directly to the Spain Country Manager, playing a key role in building and scaling operations in Spain.
YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:
Electrofitting Operations
- Setup, onboard and partner with different service providers to deliver electrofitting solutions to our customers through owned and outsourced facilities.
- Build a team of technicians and engineers to own all electrofitting operations in Spain, working closely with our manufacturing technology and production teams for knowledge transfer.
Material Flow
- Work closely with our factory team to own the end-to-end lifecycle of delivering electrofitting kits to our facilities in Spain.
- Setup warehousing and logistics solutions to manage material flow in Spain.
- Build a local supply base to complement electrofitting operations.
Customer Success
- Work closely with our Spain business development team on engaging customers on trials, pilots and deliveries.
- Setup an aftersales function, in collaboration with our global aftersales team.
- Own the full vehicle lifecycle for operations between our electrofitting facilities and customers.
YOU Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) – required.
- Proven experience in the automotive industry.
- 7+ years experience in operations, supply chain or manufacturing.
- Track record of leadership of white collar and blue collar teams.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a mobile, startup-like environment
- Problem solver / builder mindset.
