Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Structural VDC Technical Office Engineer with proven expertise in reinforced concrete (RC) structures. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile international projects, applying advanced BIM and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes to deliver technical excellence and drive collaboration across disciplines. Key Responsibilities
· Develop and review structural RC shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and coordination drawings with accuracy and clarity.
· Apply BIM and VDC workflows to enhance coordination, reduce conflicts, and improve project delivery efficiency.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural) to resolve design discrepancies.
· Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare reliable material estimates aligned with project requirements.
· Draft and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to address unclear, missing, or conflicting
· Deliver comprehensive as-built drawings at project handover.
Qualifications
· 1–3 years of experience in a structural technical office role with emphasis on RC structures.
· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and ASD is essential.
· Strong English communication skills for effective collaboration with international clients.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
· Solid problem-solving, analytical, and coordination skills.
· Proven experience in reinforced concrete design and detailing.
· Strong ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings.
· Previous involvement in U.S.-based projects is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
· Familiarity with U.S. construction standards and practices.
· Versatility to handle diverse project types (residential, commercial, industrial, institutional).
· Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and adaptability.
· Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers/drafters.
· In-depth understanding of BIM coordination processes and LOD standards.
