Job Summary: The Planning Manager is responsible for supervising production planning, material planning, demand planning, and inventory management while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This role acts as the primary contact for commercial issue resolution, leads the S&OP cycle, and drives the development of planning tools and processes to optimize supply chain
efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily planning meetings and report on key supply chain metrics.
- Act as the main point of contact for commercial issue resolution.
- Oversee and enhance the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
- Develop and refine planning tools and processes to improve efficiency.
- Establish, monitor, and report on leading and lagging KPIs.
- Represent the planning department in cross-functional initiatives.
- Ensure reliable long-term planning to provide a stable outlook for operations,
- finance, and management.
Measure of Success:
- Achievement of planning KPIs and targets.
- High forecast accuracy and material availability.
- Effective resolution of commercial planning issues.
- Optimization of planning processes and tools.
- Enhanced cross-functional collaboration within the organization.
Key Challenges:
- Balancing short-term operational demands with long-term planning objectives.
- Managing conflicting priorities between supply chain stakeholders.
- Ensuring reliable and accurate long-term planning for business stability.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain planning or a similar role.
- Strong background in data analysis and planning process optimization.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility with working hours and tasks as needed.
- Deep understanding of supply chain operations and forecasting.
