Civil Site Inspector

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Civil Site Inspector to conduct mandatory quality inspections and verification of all civil and infrastructure works. The role ensures strict adherence to approved designs, specifications, safety standards, and contractual obligations. This position plays a vital role in monitoring contractor performance, enforcing compliance, and maintaining the highest quality throughout the construction and implementation phases.

Key Qualifications & Requirements (Mandatory)

Educational Foundation: Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 7 years of professional experience (degree type does not affect required experience). Note: While secondary education is the preferred background, a university degree with relevant experience is also acceptable.

Specialized Project Experience: Proven experience in construction and infrastructure (implementation and supervision) projects from a civil engineering perspective. Hands-on experience in inspection, sampling, and testing of construction materials for compliance. No specific certifications are mandatory.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

Quality Control: Conduct comprehensive inspections of civil and infrastructure works, ensuring contractor performance meets contractual and technical requirements. Raise quality issues promptly with the supervising engineer.

Materials Compliance: Inspect, sample, and test construction materials both on-site and off-site to verify compliance with approved specifications and standards.

Final Certification: Assist in the review and approval of contractors’ Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and conduct final inspections to support certification and project handover.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality concerns for reporting and audit purposes.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Resident Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer, and other discipline inspectors to ensure smooth coordination and strict compliance with project quality requirements.

Preferred Skills

Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices and construction standards. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Skilled in documentation and quality reporting. Familiarity with KSA standards and international construction quality practices.
