DevOps Engineer - Intern

Job Purpose

Provide hands-on exposure to core DevOps practices, tools, and modern workflows. By the end of the internship, the intern should be able to contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes orchestration basics, monitoring, and Linux administration.

Principal Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Linux command line administration, permissions, process management, and networking basics
• Shell scripting and task automation using Bash and cron
• Git workflows including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge conflict resolution
• Docker containerization, Dockerfiles, Compose, and troubleshooting
• CI/CD pipeline creation using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Secrets management and deployment best practices
• Kubernetes fundamentals including pods, deployments, services, and namespaces
• Monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana
• Troubleshooting applications, containers, and Kubernetes workloads

Qualifications:

• Basic programming knowledge in any language.
• Interest in DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure technologies.
• Familiarity with command-line environments is a plus.
• Willingness to learn Linux, Docker, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to learn independently and work collaboratively.

Skills:

• Basic programming knowledge in any language.
• Interest in DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure technologies.
