Role Summary
The Cyber Security Team Lead will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing Classera’s global information security strategy. This includes safeguarding cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), SaaS applications, payment systems (C-Pay), and user data across multiple regions. The role requires hands-on expertise in threat management, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cybersecurity team overseeing global platforms (Classlight, LMS, C-Pay, Edumall, etc.).
- Design, implement, and continuously improve security architecture and controls across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management for all systems and integrations.
- Oversee incident response, forensic investigations, and root cause analysis for security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR, and local data protection laws across operating regions (KSA, Egypt, UAE, Oman, etc.).
- Manage IAM (Identity & Access Management) and enforce least-privilege policies across all applications.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Product teams to implement secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
- Lead periodic security awareness and phishing simulation programs for staff and partners.
- Coordinate with external vendors, auditors, and regulators for security audits and certifications.
- Track emerging cyber threats, technologies, and best practices to maintain proactive defense strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
- Proven experience in cloud security (AWS/Azure), network defense, and application security.
- Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, SIEM, EDR, DLP, WAF, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Familiarity with encryption, PKI, VPNs, and SSO integrations.
- Strong understanding of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
- Experience leading security compliance audits or vendor risk management programs.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
