The Business Manager grows FIB's business-account and merchant-acquiring portfolio across SMEs,

retailers and enterprise merchants. The role owns acquisition, onboarding, activation and volume

growth for POS, SoftPOS, QR, Payment Gateway, cashback and BNPL programs, while deepening

business-account relationships and ensuring full compliance with FIB policy, CBI regulation and risk

standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales — Acquire new business-account customers and merchants

across assigned sectors and regions; maintain an active pipeline; lead visits, demos and

negotiations; deliver targets for new merchants, accounts, volumes and revenue.


2. Business Accounts — Open and grow business current and savings accounts for SMEs, retailers

and merchants; raise average balances; cross-sell payroll, transfers and digital banking.


3. Merchant Acquiring — Own the end-to-end acquiring relationship: merchant onboarding, KYB,

pricing (MDR) negotiation, activation, settlement and ongoing account management.


4. POS Terminals — Sell and deploy POS terminals; manage terminal allocation, installation and

activity; follow up on inactive terminals and push transaction volumes.


5. SoftPOS (Tap-on-Phone) Drive SoftPOS adoption among small merchants, delivery agents, field

sales teams and micro-businesses as a low-cost acceptance channel.


6. QR Payments — Onboard merchants to FIB QR acceptance and grow QR transaction counts and

values.


7. Payment Gateway & E-Commerce — Acquire online merchants, platforms and billers;

coordinate API and plugin integration with Product and Technology; grow online payment

volumes.


8. Cashback & Merchant Campaigns — Design and run cashback, discount and co-marketing

campaigns with merchants to drive customer spending and merchant loyalty; track campaign

cost and ROI.


9. BNPL Merchants — Onboard merchants to FIB's Buy Now, Pay Later program; manage merchant

agreements and commission terms; grow BNPL sales volume with Credit and Product.


10. Merchant Activation & Performance — Monitor transaction volumes, dormant merchants and

churn; run activation and retention plans; identify upsell to additional FIB products.


11. Collections & Bill Payments — Offer digital collections, bulk payments and bill-payment solutions

to businesses with recurring customer payments.


12. Relationship Management — Maintain strong relationships with owners and finance managers;

resolve and escalate merchant issues (settlement, chargebacks, terminal faults) promptly.


13. Market Intelligence — Track competitor pricing, merchant needs and market trends; feed

insights to Product for new features and pricing.


14. Team Leadership — Set targets, coach and supervise officers, and coordinate with Operations,

Risk, Product and Technology for smooth delivery.


Compliance & Risk

• Ensure full KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions and CBI compliance for all business accounts and

merchants.

• Monitor merchant risk: fraud, chargebacks, prohibited business types and unusual transaction

patterns.

• Keep merchant files and agreements complete and current; report performance and risks to

management.

• New business accounts and merchants onboarded

• Active merchant ratio (POS, SoftPOS, QR, Payment Gateway)

• Acquiring transaction volume, value and MDR revenue

• BNPL merchant sales volume

• Cashback Acquired Accounts

• Business-account balances and cross-sell

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking or a related field.

• 5+ years in merchant acquiring, payments, SME banking or B2B sales.

• Strong knowledge of POS, SoftPOS, QR, payment gateways and BNPL.

• Proven sales, negotiation and team-leadership skills.

• Fluent in Arabic and English.
