Finance Business Partner - FMCG Sector & Toys Sector

Reports to:  FP&A Manager

Location:  Amman, Jordan

Function:  Finance — FP&A

Role Summary

The Finance Business Partners are the finance voice inside the commercial team for the FMCG & Toys segments.  They own segment profitability analysis, support pricing and trade-spend decisions, and turn numbers into commercial action.

This is a forward-looking, decision-support role — not a month-end reporting role.

The business partners sit with the sales, operations, and buying teams — in their meetings— not in the finance back office.

Key Responsibilities:

Margin & profitability

Own the segment P&L below gross margin: analyze profitability FMCG by channel and brand/SKU & Toys by SKU, customer, channel, and brand,

Identify margin leakage and the specific actions to recover it,

Track the true cost-to-serve across channels.

Pricing & commercial decision support

Model price/discount changes and their margin and volume impact before decisions are made,

Support customer and tender negotiations with breakeven and scenario analysis,

Build business cases for new lines, customers, and markets.

Planning & forecasting

Lead the segment's annual budget and rolling forecast, working with commercial leadership,

Explain variances in commercial terms, not accounting terms,

Feed the segment cash and working-capital view to the management.

Partnering

Act as the day-to-day finance partner to the segment's management,

Challenge commercial assumptions constructively and hold the line on margin discipline,

Translate finance to non-finance stakeholders and vice versa.

Requirements

5–8 years in commercial finance, FP&A, or a strong analytical finance role,

Part-qualified or qualified (CMA, ACCA, CPA) or an equivalent analytical track record,

Experience in distribution, FMCG, or retail strongly preferred,

Strong financial modelling and Excel; comfortable pulling and trusting ERP data,

Commercial mindset — able to influence and challenge people who don't report to them,

Fluency in Arabic and English.
