DFS Aviation Services are currently looking for an ATE Engineer to join our team in Dubai, whereby they will maintain availability and integrity of equipment through planned and preventative maintenance of all ATE or ATM systems and equipment at Dubai (DXB) or Al Maktoum (DWC) International Airports and Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) or off airport sites, by employing the policy, procedures and processes detailed within the CNS Exposition and CNS Operations Manual ensuring minimal disruption to the ATS Operation.

This role will be based in Dubai International Airport or Al Maktoum Airport at Dubai Air Navigation Services (Dans). Dans provides air navigation services at four airports in the UAE, one of which is the world's busiest airport for international passengers, where their mission is to empower and develop all their people in delivering world-leading air navigation services that exceed every standard, assure their customers, and shape global innovation.
This role will be reporting to the ATSEP Team Leader.
Your Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance of CNS/ATM systems and equipment at DXB, DWC or EFTA in accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, GCAA Civil Aviation Regulations and the processes and procedures contained in the CNS Exposition and Operations Manual.
- Perform Level 1 and 2 scheduled maintenances on systems they are competent on assigned by Line Managers to ensure continuous operation of CNS services.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance and fault rectification on systems they are competent on assigned by Line Managers.
- Apply tactical adaptations or configuration changes via published MOC processes on request by stakeholders to support their Operational efficiency.
- Take an active role in the completion of all CNS Safety Objectives.
- Contributes to Stakeholder and Customer Service levels through awareness of and compliance with SLA’s, utilise SLA processes when coordinating with external ANSPs and other colleagues.
Ensures quality of data input to management systems is highly accurate to support the department KPI reporting
- Documents all activities in line with personnel model to show individual performance and productivity.
- Take an active role in ensuring ATES processes and procedures are as efficient and effective as possible, developing and testing new innovations.
Your Qualifications
- The post holder shall have as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering from a recognized University, Training Establishment, or have equivalent and relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a CNS/ATM maintenance environment
- Experience operating basic and advanced test and measuring instrumentation is advantageous
- Relevant certificates of competency on CNS/ATM systems or equipment that meet international or national regulatory standards. All Level 1 and Level 2 competencies should be current
- Knowledge of ICAO standards and recommended practices
- Technical knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Radar, ATM, and other Airport Systems
- Knowledge of ATC and other customer procedures
- Knowledge of all Safety Objectives
