Key Responsibilities:
- Production: Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, cookies, breads, ice creams, and other baked goods using traditional and modern techniques.
- Creativity & Menu Development: Design new dessert menus, update existing recipes, and create custom items for special events.
- Decoration & Presentation: Decorate pastries and desserts with beautiful and appetizing designs using icings, toppings, and garnishes.
- Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, order ingredients and supplies, and manage budgets for the pastry section.
- Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and motivate pastry assistants and junior chefs, identifying staffing needs.
- Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, orderly, and hygienic work station, ensuring all equipment is in good condition and adhering to health/safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work with Head Chefs and other kitchen staff on menu planning and execution.
