About the Role:
First Iraqi Bank (FIB) is looking for Recruitment Officer to support and enhance the Bank’s digital banking channels and integration services.
The Recruitment Officer is responsible for executing and following up on the Bank’s sourcing, selection, and hiring processes, starting from receiving recruitment needs, posting vacancies, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating with the relevant departments, through to issuing job offers and completing pre-employment requirements. The role ensures the attraction of suitable talent within the targeted timelines, budget, approved organizational structure, and required approvals, while adhering to Human Resources policies, principles of fairness and confidentiality, and the requirements of the relevant regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute the recruitment cycle from receiving the approved hiring request through completing candidate selection and referring the selected candidate for hiring procedures in accordance with policies and authorities.
Review recruitment requests and ensure the job title, grade, headcount, location, budget, and required approvals are confirmed before starting the sourcing process.
Prepare and publish job advertisements through approved channels, the Applicant Tracking System, and professional platforms in line with the Bank’s identity and job requirements.
Proactively source candidates and build a candidate database for current and anticipated vacancies, particularly banking and specialized positions.
Screen CVs, conduct initial interviews, and verify the suitability of candidates’ qualifications, experience, skills, and essential job requirements.
Coordinate technical and managerial interviews with department managers and relevant committees, and document evaluation results, observations, and decisions.
Prepare candidate comparisons and recommendations and follow up on the required approvals before proceeding to the job offer stage.
Prepare job offers in accordance with approved salaries, grades, benefits, and approvals, and follow up on candidate acceptance and joining date.
Complete pre-employment verification processes and required documentation and coordinate with relevant internal parties before the joining date.
Coordinate with HR Operations, Payroll, Information Technology, Administration, and relevant parties to ensure the new employee’s readiness and completion of the onboarding process.
Update the Applicant Tracking System and recruitment databases and maintain CVs, evaluations, approvals, and offers to ensure a complete audit trail.
Monitor recruitment metrics such as time to fill, vacancy status, candidate sources, acceptance rates, and joining rates, and prepare periodic reports.
Maintain a professional candidate experience and communicate with candidates regarding the stages and outcomes of the process within the approved frameworks and policies.
Support recruitment campaigns, career fairs, universities, and employer branding initiatives in coordination with relevant parties.
Adhere to the principles of equal opportunity, confidentiality, avoidance of conflicts of interest, and protection of candidate and employee data throughout all stages of the recruitment process.
Participate in improving recruitment procedures and tools, evaluation forms, and the talent pool in order to enhance selection quality and reduce time to fill vacancies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a field related to the nature of the position.
Relevant experience of usually no less than 2–4 years in recruitment and talent acquisition, with experience in the banking or financial sector preferred.
Proficiency in sourcing, screening, and interviewing processes; using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and professional recruitment platforms; preparing reports and databases; proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities simultaneously; maintaining confidentiality; and practical proficiency in the English language.
