Arabian Al Ekha Toys, a company within Habanakeh Group in Jordan, is a brand-oriented leader in the Jordanian toy market. The company manages and develops a diversified portfolio that includes LEGO, leading international toy brands, selected non-brand ranges, and complementary categories such as stationery and toy related products. Its commercial direction is built around strong channel ownership, disciplined execution, long term brand building, and sustainable growth across the Jordanian market.
To support this direction, Arabian Al Ekha is seeking an experienced, commercially driven, and results-oriented Modern Trade (MT) Unit Head to lead and grow its Modern Trade, Key Accounts, Corporate Accounts, and Strategic Business Development functions across Jordan. The role is channel-owned, not brand-owned; the successful candidate will be responsible for selling and developing the company’s approved portfolio through the right modern trade and strategic customer channels, regardless of whether the offering is LEGO, toy brands, non-brand products, stationery, or toy-related categories.
The successful candidate will personally handle strategic accounts and high-value opportunities while leading a lean team to manage smaller accounts and daily execution. Success will be measured by the ability to open new channels, grow profitable accounts, strengthen customer partnerships, activate B2B and Corporate opportunities, and execute commercial strategies that support the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the Modern Trade channel and strategic accounts.
• Manage key retail chains, hypermarkets, supermarkets, and corporate customers.
• Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBP) with strategic customers.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Lead negotiations, commercial agreements, and tender opportunities.
• Ensure effective execution of trade marketing and GTM initiatives.
• Improve forecast accuracy and support demand planning activities.
• Monitor profitability, collections, and commercial risk management.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Account Management team.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in Modern Trade, Key Account Management, Corporate Sales, FMCG, Distribution, or Retail.
• Minimum 3 years managing Key Accounts or leading strategic account teams.
• Strong knowledge of retail chains, commercial negotiations, tenders, and account management.
• Proven experience in business development and strategic selling.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, and reporting tools.
