Job Purpose: The Quality control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and quality of raw materials and finished products. This role involves conducting physical, chemical, and external testing, adhering to customer compliance requirements, and ensuring that all products meet regional and international standards. The position plays a critical role in maintaining the company’s eligibility to export products and reducing customer complaints and resource waste.
Reports to: Senior Quality Specialist
Measure of Success:
● Timely and accurate completion of external testing.
● 100% adherence to testing standards and protocols.
● Zero non-compliance issues with regional and international standards.
● Reduction in customer complaints and resource waste.
● Successful contribution to the company’s export eligibility.
Key Challenges:
● Timely and accurate completion of external testing.

Responsibilities:
● Conduct external testing on raw materials from suppliers.
● Route raw materials as per customer compliance requirements.
● Perform physical and chemical validation for the production line.
● Conduct final testing after ETO-PTO sterilization and external testing for finished products.
● Perform calibration of testing equipment.
● Conduct weekly gluten tests for existing materials and finished goods.
● Ensure product safety and compliance with regional and international standards.
● Maintain 100% accuracy in testing and adherence to testing standards.
● Meet deadlines for external testing.
Key Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Science, or a related field.
● Knowledge of the food industry and testing protocols.
● Certifications: BRC, ISO 17025, CCP, OBRP.
● Strong problem-solving abilities.
● Attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● Proficiency in using office software packages.
● Integrity and adherence to company compliance standards.
