The Planning Specialist is responsible for developing, updating, and optimizing production schedules to ensure smooth workflow and coordination between departments. This role plays a vital part in maximizing efficiency, minimizing downtime, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Measure of Success:
- Efficient inventory and quality control through optimized production schedules.
- Smooth supply chain coordination between procurement, manufacturing, quality, and logistics.
- Timely adjustment of schedules to accommodate urgent requirements or delays.
- Accurate and comprehensive operation reports.
- Strong analysis of KPIs, including efficiency, downtime, and utilization rates.
Key Challenges:
- Managing unexpected delays and urgent changes in production.
- Ensuring seamless coordination between multiple departments.
- Optimizing efficiency while minimizing downtime.
- Maintaining accuracy in scheduling and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and optimize production schedules to ensure smooth workflow.
Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, quality, and logistics to maintain efficient operations.
Adjust schedules dynamically based on urgent requirements or unexpected delays.
Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operation reports.
Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, downtime, and utilization rates.
Participate in weekly production performance reviews and coordination meetings.
Plan monthly production schedules for the upcoming month and contribute to annual budget planning cycles.
Review supplier account statements, update procurement-related records, and generate reports on pricing trends and insights for commercial teams.
Key Requirements:
Education: A degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
Certifications: CPIM, MITx Supply Chain Micro Masters are advantageous.
Experience: 0–1 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or related roles.

Strong problem-solving and numerical analysis skills.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with different departments.
Proficiency in planning and ERP systems.
Ability to analyze data and improve scheduling efficiency.
